  • This event will explore how sustainable food systems can advance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in today’s geopolitical and environmental landscape. The meeting will focus on SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), both under review at the 2026 UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). 

  • The 9th meeting of the CARIFORUM–EU Consultative Committee brought together civil society representatives from the Caribbean and the European Union to discuss key developments in CARIFORUM–EU relations. The agenda included updates on the implementation of the CARIFORUM–EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), the provisional application of the OACPS–EU Samoa Agreement in relation to CARIFORUM, and discussions on the revision of the EPA review process.


     

  • The Consultative Commission on Industrial Change (CCMI) is convening a high-level debate on “The Future of the European Battery Industry” to advance policy discussions on strengthening Europe’s battery manufacturing sector, with particular attention to the strategic potential of sodium batteries.

    This conference will serve as a platform to showcase the societal and political significance of public services in promoting intergenerational solidarity, providing concrete action points for policymakers and practitioners. The aim is to broaden the debate and to serve as a constructive contribution to the development and refinement of the Intergenerational Fairness Strategy announced by the European Commission, to be adopted in the second quarter of 2026.

    The EU-UK Follow-Up Committee of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is pleased to announce that the Annual All-Island Stakeholder Forum will be held in Dublin on 10th June 2026. This forum is the second of its kind, the first having been held in Dundalk last year.  

    This year’s forum is titled: ‘Reset and Recharge: All-island contributions to a resilient EU-UK relationship’. It is organised in collaboration with an Advisory Group of representative organisations from the three ‘pillars’ of the EESC – workers, employers and civil society organisations – from both jurisdictions.*

  • The permanent group on Inclusion of the Roma is organising a public hearing on 8 June 2026 on the topic of "United in Diversity: Roma Inclusion and Our Shared European Culture". The hearing will bring together policy-makers and civil society organisations to exchange views on how Roma culture is connected to a shared European identity, as well as on the visibility of Roma contributions in culture, media, and education across the European Union.

  • The 19th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform (CSP) will take place on 5 June 2026. During the meeting, the CSP members will exchange with the EU and Ukrainian authorities on the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and on Ukraine's progress on its EU accession path.
