An exhibition of paintings entitled Edvard Stepančič and constructivism across borders will be presented at the EESC, in Foyer 6 from 17 till 26 October. The exhibition features a private collection of 21 original pieces of artwork and will be opened on Wednesday 17 October at 1 p.m. by EESC President Luca Jahier.
The present report focuses on the human resources activities of Directorate HRF. Its purpose is to show what HR does to get and keep EESC staff – as individuals and as a group in an optimal position to contribute to the overall mission of the EESC.
The aim of this study is to provide policy suggestions on bottom-up climate action in the European Union. The study draws its recommendations from a unique analysis which maps existing European-led multi-stakeholder initiatives that address climate change and identifies needs and challenges experienced by a range of stakeholders. The main question of this study is: “What does it take to accelerate non-state climate actions and to enhance effectiveness?”

The present study outlines a diversified selection of successful practices in public policies regarding the Social Economy across different European countries.
Transport and mobility are crucial for Europe's economy and competitiveness as well as for all citizens. However, the transport sector is currently undergoing a number of profound technological, economic and social transformations, which challenge its traditional features. In order to turn these challenges into opportunities and modernise mobility and transport in Europe, the European Commission has recently come up with a major political initiative entitled "Europe on the Move" and divided into three "mobility packages" published between May 2017 and May 2018.

During the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit, in September 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The EESC has been actively promoting an ambitious agenda for sustainable development, assisting with strengthening SDG implementation and involving the Committee's strong civil society organisation networks and acting as a platform for dialogue.
