Updating the new industrial strategy - Impacts on the health industrial ecosystem

On 10 March 2020, at the dawn of the COVID-19 crisis, the European Commission adopted its Communication (COM (2020) 102 final) concerning a New Industrial Strategy for Europe. In order to take into account the latest developments related in particular to the pandemic, the Commission has announced the intention to publish in spring 2021 an Updated Industrial Strategy that would update and incorporate aspects emerged during the pandemic into the strategy.

Within the EESC, the Section for the Internal Market will be drafting an opinion on the Updated Industrial Strategy, opinion INT/935. In that context, the INT Section has requested a supplementary opinion from CCMI in order to zoom into the effects and needs of the health industrial ecosystem in respect to the Updated Industrial Strategy.
