Exploratory opinions

In a letter sent by Minister for European Affairs Jessika Roswall to the Committee President in November 2022, the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union asked the EESC to draw up six exploratory opinions on subjects reflecting its political directions. These exploratory opinions will enable the EESC to contribute to the debates of the Swedish Presidency.

    Considering the 30 years anniversary of the Single Market and the Commission’s announced Communication “The Single Market at 30”. How could the functioning of the Single Market be further improved? 
  • Competence and skill development in a context of the green and digital transition (SOC/755)
    Working life is transforming due to the accelerating digital transformation, automation, and transition to climate neutrality. A workforce with the right skills will contribute to strengthen the competitiveness of the union. Against the background of the Commission’s announcement of making 2023 the European Year of Skills. What competence and skill development will be needed?
  • The advantages of modern industrial wooden construction (TEN/794)
    How can the EU proposals such as Sustainable carbon cycles, the EU's bioeconomy strategy and the New European Bauhaus be used to drastically reduce the large construction-related CO2 emissions, store CO2 and make construction more efficient?
