2022 EESC Civil Society Prize – Youth and Ukraine

Launched in 2006, the EESC's Civil Society Prize rewards creative and innovative non-for-profit initiatives carried out by EU-based civil society organisations, companies and individuals at European, national, regional or local level which promote and have a long-lasting impact on European identity and integration. Each edition has a specific theme. This year’s EESC Civil Society Prize focussed on two themes: creating a better future for young people and helping Ukrainian war victims, and thus exceptionally rewarded two sets of winners.

This brochure presents outstanding examples of civil society engagement in a range of areas – education, political participation, entrepreneurship, humanitarian support, climate action and more – that clearly demonstrate how Europe’s citizens of all ages have the will to bring about change, a wealth of ideas and the expertise to make it a reality.
