Din is-sena 2022, il-Kumitat Ekonomiku u Soċjali Ewropew (KESE) se jorganizza b’mod konġunt l-ewwel Premjijiet tal-UE għall-Produzzjoni Organika mal-Kummissjoni Ewropea, il-Kumitat Ewropew tar-Reġjuni (KtR), COPA-COGECA u IFOAM Organics Europe, bil-għan li tiġi rikonoxxuta l-eċċellenza u jiġu ppremjati l-aħjar u l-aktar atturi innovattivi fil-katina tal-valur tal-produzzjoni organika tal-UE.
Il-premjijiet #EUOrganic jinkludu 7 kategoriji u 8 premjijiet għall-aħjar produzzjoni organika:
Il-KESE, li ilu snin jirrakkomanda politika dwar l-ikel aktar sostenibbli u komprensiva fl-UE, se jkun responsabbli għal tliet premjijiet: l-aħjar SME organika, l-aħjar bejjiegħ bl-imnut tal-ikel organiku, u l-aħjar ristorant organiku. Il-formola ta’ applikazzjoni hija disponibbli hawnhekk.
L-applikazzjonijiet online se jkunu miftuħa mill-25 ta’ Marzu sat-8 ta’ Ġunju 2022, u se jkunu disponibbli hawnhekk.
Se tiġi organizzata ċerimonja fil-Jum Organiku tal-UE fit-23 ta’ Settembru 2022, fejn ir-rebbieħa se jippreżentaw il-proġetti innovattivi tagħhom u jingħataw rikonoxximent mhux finanzjarju.
Sfond
Il-Kummissjoni ddefiniet mira ta’ 25 % tal-art agrikola tal-UE taħt biedja organika sal-2030. B’appoġġ għal dik il-mira, il-Kummissjoni adottat il-Pjan ta’ Azzjoni għall-Iżvilupp tal-Produzzjoni Organika f’Marzu 2021. Dan il-pjan ta’ azzjoni huwa bbażat fuq il-kunċett li, sabiex jiġu stimulati l-produzzjoni organika u l-konsum tal-prodotti organiċi, huwa kruċjali li l-pubbliku jsir aktar konxju tal-karatteristiċi u l-benefiċċji tagħhom. Għalhekk, il-pjan ta’ azzjoni jinkludi premjijiet annwali bħala waħda mill-istrateġiji biex jintlaħaq dan l-għan. (mr)
