The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

U rubrici „Ukrajina u slici” u ovom broju donosimo fotografiju Antonovskog mosta, nastalu u kolovozu 2021., koju je odabrala ukrajinska novinarka, književna kritičarka i esejistica Tetjana Ogarkova. Prisjetila se te slike godinu dana kasnije, 11. studenoga 2022., nakon što je most uništen, u trenutku kada su posljednje ruske snage napuštale grad Herson. Objasnila je što za nju znači ta fotografija:
Antonovski most u okolici Hersona
„Ova fotografija Antonovskog mosta iz kolovoza 2021. kao da je nastala u nekom drugom životu. Prikazuje zapadnu obalu Dnjepra kod Hersona, na jugu Ukrajine, naše toliko voljene lijepe zemlje i prekrasne Hersonske oblasti. Danas je 11. studenoga 2022. Taj dan mi je strašan. Ne mogu suzdržati suze pri pogledu na most kod Hersona. Taj je strateški most srušen, ali grad Herson napokon je oslobođen. Međutim, još uvijek treba osloboditi mnoga mjesta u Hersonskoj oblasti i sve treba ponovno izgraditi. Ali sve će biti dobro. Vjerujemo u oružane snage Ukrajine i podržavamo naše branitelje. Jednog ćemo se dana sigurno vratiti u Hersonsku oblast, a Antonovski most bit će obnovljen i ponovno postavljen na noge.
