Social dialogue is a key driver for economic, health and social resilience, competitiveness, fairness and sustainable growth. At the same time, in a number of Member States, social partners are not sufficiently involved in relevant reforms and policymaking, or are not able to conclude collective agreements. In line with the European pillar of social rights action plan, the Commission will present an initiative to support social dialogue at EU and national level. The initiative will include the launch of a new award for innovative social dialogue practices; an information and visiting programme for young future social partner leaders; the review of sectoral social dialogue at EU level; and a new supporting frame for social partner agreements at EU level. The initiative is planned to be adopted on 25 January 2023.
