The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

The EESC has six sections, specialising in concrete topics of relevance to the citizens of the European Union, ranging from social to economic affairs, energy, environment, external relations or the internal market.

Europski gospodarski i socijalni odbor (EGSO) održat će 13. i 14. ožujka 2025. svoje godišnje događanje za mlade Tvoja Europa, tvoje mišljenje! (YEYS), koje okuplja više od 130 sudionika i sudionica iz cijele Europe i šire. Riječ je o jedinstvenom događanju na kojem će se susresti učenici i učenice srednjih škola, predstavnici i predstavnice organizacija mladih i delegati i delegatkinje iz nacionalnih vijeća mladih u dobi od 16 do 25 godina iz svih 27 država članica EU-a, devet zemalja kandidatkinja i Ujedinjene Kraljevine.
Događanjem će se, zahvaljujući nizu radionica, panela i rasprava, mladima pružiti platforma za aktivan doprinos oblikovanju budućnosti Europe. Ove je godine događanje naslovljeno „Omogućimo mladima da iznesu svoje stavove”, a sudionici i sudionice bavit će se ključnim temama kao što su održivost, socijalna uključenost, digitalna transformacija i drugo.
Ishodi tih rasprava i prikupljene informacije uzet će se u obzir u okviru EGSO-ovog drugog Tjedna civilnog društva, a promicat će se i na Europskom skupu mladih (EYE), koji u lipnju 2025. u Strasbourgu organizira Europski parlament.
Na događanju se naglašava važnost angažmana mladih u građanskom djelovanju, participativnoj demokraciji i oblikovanju europskih politika.
