The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

The EESC has six sections, specialising in concrete topics of relevance to the citizens of the European Union, ranging from social to economic affairs, energy, environment, external relations or the internal market.

Les 13 et 14 mars 2025, le Comité économique et social européen (CESE) accueillera la manifestation qu’il destine chaque année à la jeunesse, «Votre Europe, votre avis!» (YEYS), qui réunira plus de 130 participants de toute l’Europe et d’ailleurs. Cette manifestation unique en son genre rassemble des élèves de l’enseignement secondaire, des représentants d’organisations de jeunesse et des délégués de conseils nationaux de la jeunesse, âgés de 16 à 25 ans, venus des 27 États membres de l’UE, des 9 pays candidats et du Royaume-Uni.
Organisée autour d’une série d’ateliers, de tables rondes et de discussions, la manifestation offrira aux jeunes une plateforme où ils pourront contribuer activement à orienter l’avenir de l’Europe. L’édition de cette année, intitulée «Donner une voix aux jeunes», leur permettra d’aborder des questions fondamentales telles que le développement durable, l’inclusion sociale, la transformation numérique et bien d’autres thèmes encore.
Le fruit de ces échanges et les idées ainsi recueillies viendront enrichir la deuxième édition de la Semaine de la société civile du CESE et seront également mis en avant lors de la Rencontre des jeunes européens (EYE) organisée en juin 2025, à Strasbourg, par le Parlement européen.
La manifestation souligne combien il importe de transposer l’engagement des jeunes dans l’action civique, la démocratie participative et l’élaboration des politiques européennes.
