EESC Youth Group
In July 2023, the EESC Bureau established an EESC Youth Group.
The EESC Youth Group reflects the EESC’s continuous efforts to better integrate the voice of young Europeans in its work and in the EU decision-making process in a structured and meaningful way.
The EESC Youth Group is composed of members from the Employers', the Workers' and the Civil Society organisations' Groups, and works in close collaboration with youth organisations.
It has been mandated the following tasks:
Oversee, assess and improve the EESC Youth Test.
Provide support, advise and promote the EESC's youth-related initiatives (e.g. Your Europe, Your Say! (YEYS), the EESC Youth Delegate to COP programme, the Youth Climate and Sustainability Round Tables).
Continue to explore ways to enhance youth participation within the EESC.
Engage the EESC in discussions with youth organisations, including youth organisations from candidate and potential candidate countries and other EU neighbouring countries.
Strengthen cooperation with EU institutions and external organisations.
