The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

The EESC has six sections, specialising in concrete topics of relevance to the citizens of the European Union, ranging from social to economic affairs, energy, environment, external relations or the internal market.

Dijelovi izvedbe naslovljene „Svit za oči” (Skriveni od pogleda), kojom je odana počast ukrajinskoj borbi za demokraciju i slobodu, snimljeni su i sada su dostupni u obliku videzapisa na internetskim stranicama EGSO-a.
Pjesmama u izvedbi poljske kazališne skupine Teatr Navpaky donose se priče običnih Ukrajinaca i slavi njihovo junaštvo. Izvedba se sastojala od kompilacije devet pjesama o mladima i njihovim različitim životnim iskustvima u situacijama koje odražavaju aktualne događaje u Ukrajini pogođenoj ratom.
Zamisao zbog koje je izvedba pokrenuta bila je pokazati da ljudi koji se hrabro bore za slobodu nisu velikani kakve viđamo na spomenicima već obični ljudi od krvi i mesa, s običnim životnim pričama, radostima i dilemama.
Predstava je održana 24. ožujka tijekom završne sesije ovogodišnjeg izdanja događanja „Tvoja Europa, tvoje mišljenje!”, EGSO-ovog godišnjeg događanja za mlade. Pjesme su izvedene na ukrajinskom jeziku, uz titlove na engleskom.
Tom je inicijativom EGSO želio istaknuti koliko je važno poslušati ono što mladi imaju za reći i izraziti podršku i solidarnost Odbora ukrajinskom narodu u ovim teškim vremenima.
