Liaison Group 20th anniversary

On 29 September 2004, the EESC Liaison Group with European civil society organisations and networks held its constitutive meeting. 

This milestone laid the foundation for the first ever regular dialogue forum between an EU institution and external civil society networks. 

 20 years on, having overcome early growing pains, navigated teenage challenges, and experienced both successes and setbacks, the Liaison Group stands strong as a reliable and trusted partner, offering consistent value and expertise to the EESC. 

On 11 December, the EESC Liaison Group will mark this special anniversary and celebrate this transformative journey of progress and change
