European Semester Annual Conference 2021

The Recovery and Resilience Facility is moving into its next phase, implementation, and the European Semester Group of the EESC is actively following and contributing to the process. In this high-level conference we will discuss whether the National Recovery and Resilience Plans will deliver as regards the aim of achieving fair, inclusive, competitive and sustainable growth and cohesion through the new growth strategy – the European Green Deal. Focus will be on the implementation of the plans and the degree of involvement by civil society organisations, with particular attention on the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights and the just transition towards a green, digital and sustainable European economy. Centrally placed stakeholders form the European institutions, the Portuguese presidency and Organised Civil Society will present their views on these important elements of the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

The conclusions of this event will be forwarded to the "EU Recovery Summit" conference in Lisbon on 28 June 2021 and to the EU institutions to contribute to the related inter-institutional debate from an Organised Civil Society perspective

The conference will take place on Monday, 31 May 2021 from 10:00 to 17:30 as an online event.
