Az Európai Gazdasági Térség (EGT) az uniós tagállamokat és a három EGT-hez tartozó EFTA-tagállamot (Izlandot, Liechtensteint és Norvégiát) fogja össze egy belső piacon, amelyre mindenütt ugyanazok az alapvető szabályok vonatkoznak. Ezek a szabályok azt célozzák, hogy az áruk, a szolgáltatások, a tőke és a személyek egy nyitott, versenyorientált környezetben szabadon mozoghassanak az EGT-n belül. Az Európai Gazdasági Térségről szóló megállapodás 1994. január 1-jén lépett hatályba.

Az Európai Gazdasági Térség konzultatív bizottsága (EGT konzultatív bizottság) az EGT-megállapodás (96. cikk) részét képezi, és 1994-ben jött létre.

    The 24th meeting of of the European Economic Area Consultative Committee took place in Vaduz (Liechtenstein) on 19-20 May 2016.

     

    The members of the Committee discussed the latest developments in EEA and well as EU/EFTA issues. The Consultative Committee adopted two resolutions on the following topics:

    • Labour Mobility in the EEA
    • Better regulation to support businesses and protect workers in the EEA
