Lo Spazio economico europeo (SEE) riunisce gli Stati membri dell'UE e i tre Stati EFTA-SEE (Islanda, Liechtenstein e Norvegia) in un mercato interno disciplinato dalle stesse norme di base. Tali norme sono intese a consentire la libera circolazione di merci, servizi, capitali e persone all'interno di questo spazio economico in un ambiente aperto e concorrenziale. L'accordo sullo Spazio economico europeo è entrato in vigore il 1º gennaio 1994.

Il comitato consultivo dello Spazio economico europeo (comitato consultivo SEE) è previsto dall'accordo SEE (articolo 96) ed è stato istituito nel 1994.

    The 24th meeting of of the European Economic Area Consultative Committee took place in Vaduz (Liechtenstein) on 19-20 May 2016.

     

    The members of the Committee discussed the latest developments in EEA and well as EU/EFTA issues. The Consultative Committee adopted two resolutions on the following topics:

    • Labour Mobility in the EEA
    • Better regulation to support businesses and protect workers in the EEA
