  • The forth meeting of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform (CSP) will be held on 14 March 2024 in Yerevan.

    During the meeting, a debate will focus on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The CSP will also discuss the state of democratic institutions and rule of law in Armenia, as well as the implementation of the Chapter 10 on Agriculture and rural development.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, will be discussed and adopted.

  • The third meeting of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was held on 12 September 2023 in Brussels.

    During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The CSP also discussed the state of play of the justice sector reform.

    Other items on the agenda were the impact of industrial development on climate change and promotion of circular economy, and occupational safety.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

  • The second meeting of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was held on 10 March 2023 in Yerevan.

    During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. The CSP debated the current challenges in the implementation of the Agreement and in progressing on the reform agenda.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

    The first and inaugural meeting of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was held on 1st September 2022 in Yerevan. The CSP complements the political bodies existing within the framework of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, and it allows civil society organisations from both sides to monitor the implementation process and prepare recommendations to the EU-Armenia Partnership Council and other relevant bodies both in Armenia as well as in the EU.

    The CSP is made up of members from both Parties, representing the EESC and large European civil society networks, on the one side, and civil society organisations from Armenia, on the other side.

    During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the members of the CSP discussed working methods and future activities of the Platform.

    The External Relations Section (REX) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is responsible for dialogue between European civil society organisations and their homologues from the countries with which the European Union has formal relations (e.g. under the form of a Free Trade Agreement).
