  • High-level officials from the European External Action Service (EEAS), members of the European Parliament (EP), and a representative from the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) convened in Kiev for the 3rd Association Exchange Forum. Together they discussed recent achievements and shared experiences, best practices and lessons learnt regarding AAs, institutional set-ups, implementation monitoring issues and civil society involvement. Dr. Istvan Komoroczki, EESC chairman of the EU-Georgia Civil Society Platform from the Employers Group, also took part in the Forum.

  • The 12th meeting of the EU-Georgia Civil Society Platform (CSP) will be convened on 17 November 2023. During the meeting, a debate will focus on assessing the implementation of the priorities outlined by the European Commission and the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA. The Platform will also discuss the digital transition in Georgia, as well as legal and practical issues of labour migration in Georgia and in the EU.

  • The 10th meeting of the EU-Georgia Domestic Advisory Group (DAG), and the first meeting of the new 2023-25 term, will take place on 4 October 2023. The DAG will elect a new chair, discuss the progress in implementing the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter and make proposals for a work programme for the new term.

  • The 11th meeting of the EU-Georgia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was convened on 8 June 2023 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

    During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the implementation of the priorities outlined by the European Commission and the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA. The Platform also discussed the implementation of the Chapter 14 on Employment, social policy and equal opportunities, as well as media freedom and depolarisation, and the mobility of Georgian workers.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

  • The 10th meeting of the EU-Georgia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was convened on 16 December 2022. During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the implementation of the 12 priorities identified by the EU and the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA. The Platform also discussed the implementation of the Chapter 16 on Education, training and youth. 

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

  • Representatives of the European and Georgian Domestic Advisory Groups (DAGs), set up under the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Georgia, will hold their seventh joint meeting on 29 November 2022 in Brussels. The objective of the meeting will be to prepare a set of recommendations for the EU-Georgia Trade and Sustainable Development Sub-Committee and the Civil Society Forum, which will take place in December 2022.

  • The 8th meeting of the EU-Georgia Civil Society Platform (CSP) was convened on 13 December 2021 via a videoconference. 

  • Representatives of the European and Georgian Domestic Advisory Groups (DAGs), set up under the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Georgia, held their 6th joint meeting virtually on 2 December 2021.
