Organised civil society’s vision for the future of Europe

Conclusions from the EESC events in the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe

The Conference on the Future of Europe was an unprecedented democratic exercise that involved citizens from all over Europe in key debates on the future of the continent. As the home of European organised civil society, the EESC was committed to this process from the beginning and made an effort to bring the debate to the grassroots level. Relying on its members and their extended network of civil society organisations in the Member States, the EESC organised 75 events across Europe, 45 of which alone gathered more than 7 600 participants. The document Organised civil society's vision for the future of Europe presents the results of those consultations, detailing recommendations and ideas that fed into the 325 final proposals adopted by the Conference in May 2022.
