Successful experiences and promising practices from the 2021 EESC Civil Society Prize
Launched in 2006, the EESC's Civil Society Prize rewards creative and innovative initiatives – ongoing or completed – carried out by EU-based civil society organisations and individuals at European, national, regional or local level which promote and have a long-lasting impact on European identity and integration. Each edition has a specific theme. This year’s theme is climate action, celebrating effective and creative initiatives that promote a just transition towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy.
This brochure presents outstanding examples of civil society engagement demonstrating that there is a will to bring about change, a wealth of ideas among citizens and the expertise to make it a reality.
