This year's flagship youth event took place in Brussels, in our premises, on 23 and 24 March with great success!
105 students and almost 40 teachers joined the workshops and youth plenaries and draw recommendations on "Youth Democracy Dialogues".
We were very glad to see your enthusiasm and to listen to your say about #democracy and #youthparticipation.
Do you want to see more? Did you miss the main event, don’t worry you can still watch it online.
The EESC at the European Youth Event 2023 (EYE)
Committed to promote and enhance the youth summit's outcome, the EESC participated in and attended the biannual youth event by the European Parliament European Youth Event (EYE) on 9th June in Strasbourg.
The activity featuring in the EYE agenda under the hashtags #DEMOCRACY and #PARTICIPATION, aimed at collecting ideas on how to implement the recommendations by moving from theory to action. Conducted following the module of a World Café Method, the workshop gave an overview on the strengths and weaknesses of the single recommendations.
The outcome of the fruitful session included proposals and next steps on how to put the recommendations in place, such as:
- Find investors and highly qualified web developers to create the app
- Integrate the platform`s layout with a section containing educational games, a learning corner, and an institutions information hub, where users can explore more about the different institutions and take virtual tours, where applicable;
- Draft a framework of rules of use and regulations to ensure data protection and fair use of the app;
- Create a task force to suggest and select the contents and ensure their quality, credibility and trustworthiness.
