Developing a European Centre of Clinical Excellence for Pharmaceuticals
Background
Developing a European centre of clinical excellence for pharmaceuticals
During its Presidency of the Council of the EU (Jan – Jun 2026), Cyprus will propose the establishment of a European Centre of Clinical Excellence. The Centre will be tasked with the study and scientific evaluation of existing and emerging clinical documentation and joint clinical assessment report, particularly in relation to pharmaceutical products.
An exploratory opinion by the EESC will provide insight and recommendation on the establishment of this centre, with the view to serve as a unified, evidence-based authority issuing pharmacotherapy recommendations, guidelines, and protocols for a wide range of diseases.
