The EESC will hold its conference on the "Geopolitics of the Green Deal" in Brussels on 6 December 2021. This hybrid meeting, co-organised with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), will look into the effects of the Green Deal on the position of the EU in the world.
The conference was originally planned for 12 March 2020 and postponed several times as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisers decided to reschedule the event and to organise it in January 2022 (the exact date will be decided in October or November 2021).
"Your Europe, Your Say!" is the EESC's annual event for young people. Schools from all of the 27 EU Member States, the 5 EU candidate countries and a Brussels-based European school are invited to apply to take part and one school from each country is then selected by drawing lots.
This year, the discussions will focus on disinformation and fake news. The goal of the event will be to raise awareness of the dangers of disinformation and to encourage the participants to become more active in the fight against fake news.
Stay tuned for the launch of the event, expected in October 2021!
