Keeping Europe on the global battery map
Europe has made major progress in building its battery value chain, but global competition, especially from Asia, is intensifying. How can Europe keep its place on the global battery map?
The European Economic and Social Committee's Consultative Commission on Industrial Change (CCMI) and the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA) invite you to a morning of keynotes and debates.
Representatives of industry, research, the EU institutions and Member States will discuss:
- The state of play: where Europe stands on industrial capacity and technological capability in the battery value chain, compared with Asia.
- Innovation in next-generation batteries: the role of innovation in technologies such as sodium-ion and solid-state batteries.
- Public support: how European, national and regional funding can build a strong battery innovation powerhouse in Europe.
- The way forward: what comes next under FP10 and the European Competitiveness Fund, and the case for a renewed, dedicated Battery Partnership in FP10.
