    EESC opinion: Specific provisions for the 2014-2020 cooperation programmes supported by the European Neighbourhood Instrument and under the European territorial cooperation goal, following programme implementation disruption («Dispositions spécifiques pour les programmes de coopération 2014-2020 soutenus par l’instrument européen de voisinage et au titre de l’objectif de coopération territoriale à la suite de l’interruption de la mise en œuvre des programmes», traduction officieuse)
  • Les fonctionnaires de haut niveau du Service européen pour l'action extérieure (SEAE), les députés au Parlement européen (PE) et le représentant du Comité économique et social européen (CESE) qui se sont rendus à Kiev pour le troisième forum d’échange sur les accords d’association y ont été rejoints par des diplomates étrangers, des organisations de la société civile (OSC) de Bruxelles, Varsovie et Berlin, des journalistes, ainsi que des experts nationaux qui, en Ukraine, Moldavie et Géorgie, s’occupent de la mise en œuvre des accords d’association (AA). Ensemble, ils ont discuté des avancées récentes en la matière et partagé leurs expériences et bonnes pratiques, ainsi que les enseignements qu’ils ont tirés à propos de ces accords, des dispositifs institutionnels afférents, des questions de suivi de leur exécution et de l’association de la société civile à la démarche. István Komoróczki, qui préside pour le CESE la plate-forme de la société civile UE-Géorgie, a été l’un des participants à cette rencontre.

  • Lors de sa troisième réunion qui s’est tenue le 6 mars à Bruxelles, la plateforme de la société civile UE-Moldavie a également examiné le projet d’extension des centrales hydroélectriques ukrainiennes sur le cours supérieur du Dniestr, qui pourrait avoir des conséquences dévastatrices sur l’environnement et la population du pays.

     

  • The first meeting of the EU-Moldova Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) in the new 2023-25 term, will take place on 8 December 2023. The DAG will elect a new chair, discuss the progress in implementing the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter and make proposals for a work programme for the new term.

  • The 12th meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform will take place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 1 September 2023. During the meeting, a debate will focus on assessing the progresses of Moldova in the implementation of the Association Agreement and the European Commission's recommendations regarding its accession to the EU.

    The Platform will look at progresses and challenges in reforming the justice sector, implementing human rights commitments, enhancing gender equality, and fighting violence against women, as well as in implementing commitments in economic, social and public administration reforms, including work motivation and negotiation of the minimum wage increase.

    Furthermore, the participants will discuss the role of Moldovan civil society organisations in human development capital and proposals for enhancing the dialogue with civil society.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, will be discussed and adopted.

  • Joint meeting

    Representatives of the two Domestic Advisory Groups (DAG) from the EU and Moldova, established under Chapter 13 on Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, will hold the seventh joint meeting on 7 March 2023. The objective of the meeting is to prepare a set of recommendations for the Civil Society Forum, which will take place on 17 March 2023.

  • The 10th meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform took place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 10 November 2022. During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the progresses of Moldova in the implementation of the European Commission recommendations regarding its accession to the EU, as well as the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.

    The Platform also discussed the 2022 developments in the anti-corruption field, the impact of regional and global crises on the social-economic situation in Moldova, and participation of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations in EU-funded projects.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, was discussed and adopted.

  • La 8e réunion de la plate-forme de la société civile UE-Moldavie a eu lieu le 28 octobre 2021 sous la forme d'une vidéoconférence. Au cours de la réunion, un débat a porté sur l'évaluation de l'état d'avancement de la mise en œuvre de l'accord d'association UE-Moldavie. Le dialogue social et les perspectives d'avenir en Moldavie ont également été abordés ainsi que le mécanisme du salaire minimum.
