  • The 13th meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform will take place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 16 April 2024. During the meeting, a debate will focus on assessing the progresses of Moldova in the implementation of the Association Agreement and the European Commission's recommendations regarding its accession to the EU.

    The Platform will look at progresses and challenges in the implementation of the commitments in the implementation of the justice sector reform, fighting corruption and de-oligarchization, as well as at the current consumer protection framework.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, will be discussed and adopted.

  • Civil society for an open democratic debate

    This is the 2nd campaign on fighting disinformation that the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising as part of its overall project on disinformation to be implemented with the help of civil society.

  • The first meeting of the EU-Moldova Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) in the new 2023-25 term, will take place on 8 December 2023. The DAG will elect a new chair, discuss the progress in implementing the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter and make proposals for a work programme for the new term.

  • The 12th meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform will take place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 1 September 2023. During the meeting, a debate will focus on assessing the progresses of Moldova in the implementation of the Association Agreement and the European Commission's recommendations regarding its accession to the EU.

    The Platform will look at progresses and challenges in reforming the justice sector, implementing human rights commitments, enhancing gender equality, and fighting violence against women, as well as in implementing commitments in economic, social and public administration reforms, including work motivation and negotiation of the minimum wage increase.

    Furthermore, the participants will discuss the role of Moldovan civil society organisations in human development capital and proposals for enhancing the dialogue with civil society.

    A joint declaration, prepared by both sides, will be discussed and adopted.

  • Joint meeting

    Representatives of the two Domestic Advisory Groups (DAG) from the EU and Moldova, established under Chapter 13 on Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, will hold the seventh joint meeting on 7 March 2023. The objective of the meeting is to prepare a set of recommendations for the Civil Society Forum, which will take place on 17 March 2023.

  • The 10th meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform took place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 10 November 2022. During the meeting, a debate focused on assessing the progresses of Moldova in the implementation of the European Commission recommendations regarding its accession to the EU, as well as the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.

    The Platform also discussed the 2022 developments in the anti-corruption field, the impact of regional and global crises on the social-economic situation in Moldova, and participation of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations in EU-funded projects.

  • La 8e réunion de la plate-forme de la société civile UE-Moldavie a eu lieu le 28 octobre 2021 sous la forme d'une vidéoconférence. Au cours de la réunion, un débat a porté sur l'évaluation de l'état d'avancement de la mise en œuvre de l'accord d'association UE-Moldavie. Le dialogue social et les perspectives d'avenir en Moldavie ont également été abordés ainsi que le mécanisme du salaire minimum.

    La 7e réunion de la plateforme de la société civile UE-Moldavie s'est tenue les 30 et 31 mars 2021 sous la forme d'une vidéoconférence. Au cours de la réunion, un débat a porté sur l'évaluation de l'état d'avancement de la mise en œuvre de l'accord d'association UE-Moldavie. L'impact de la pandémie COVID 19 sur le développement socio-économique de la Moldavie sera également discuté ainsi que l'aspect de la numérisation dans les soins de santé en Moldavie.
