Events

  • The 16th meeting of the EU-Moldova Civil Society Platform took place on 11 November 2025. The debate focused on assessing the state of play in the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, as well as the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in childcare reform and the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities. 

    The Platform also discussed Moldova’s Economic Growth Plan, aimed at fostering a more dynamic, sustainable, and competitive economy. 

  • This debate gathered representatives from the EU food chain, EU cities' organisations, the Committee of the Regions, different DGs of the European Commission, and members of the EESC PG representing organized civil society, with the aim to collect views on the objectives and the structure of the food dialogues, as well as on topics to be discussed during these dialogues, in an attempt to support the work of DG AGRI towards the organisation of the food dialogues.

  • The 14th meeting of the EU DAG under the EU-Vietnam FTA, and the first meeting of the 2025–2028 term, will take place on 6 November 2025.

  • Representatives of the Eastern European Domestic Advisory Group and Ukrainian Domestic Advisory Group held their eight joint meeting on 5 November 2025. The objective of the meeting was to prepare a set of recommendations for the EU-Ukraine Trade and Sustainable Development Sub-Committee and the Civil Society Forum on 12 November 2025.

  • At its 599th plenary session, held on 18 September 2025, the European Economic and Social Committee adopted an opinion on  Blue Diplomacy and water cooperation – solutions to relieve the pressure of climate induced migration.

    Conférence organisée conjointement avec la Fondation européenne d'études progressistes (FEPS), qui abordera la question cruciale de la manière dont l'intelligence artificielle et les systèmes décisionnels algorithmiques remodèlent le lieu de travail, ce qui a des répercussions sur les droits, la vie privée et la dignité des travailleurs.

  • The first meeting of the Eastern European Domestic Advisory Group for Ukraine/Moldova/Georgia took place on 4 November 2025.

    During the meeting, the EU DAG elected its presidency for the 2025–2028 term and held a tour de table to introduce its members and the organisations they represent.

    It was likewise an opportunity for members to receive an update from the European Commission on the implementation of trade and sustainable development commitments and to discuss the draft joint statement adopted at the EU–Ukraine DAG-to-DAG meeting on 5 November 2025, which was subsequently presented at the Civil Society Forum on 12 November. 

  • The Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) established under the EU–Kenya Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) held its inaugural meeting on 27 October at the EESC. This is the first time that an EU EPA with an African country has included the creation of a DAG to monitor and advise on the implementation of the agreement.

    The European Commission is in the process of developing a European Affordable Housing Plan, to be launched in 2026. This political debate will explore what elements and policies should be included in order to produce a holistic and inclusive housing plan.
