The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

Eine neue Generation von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern stellt die biologische Vielfalt und die Natur in den Mittelpunkt ihres Schaffens. In der Online-Ausstellung „Biologische Vielfalt: Künstler engagieren sich“ wird der Zusammenhang zwischen Mensch und Natur auf einzigartige Weise verdeutlicht. Die im Rahmen des französischen EU-Ratsvorsitzes organisierte Ausstellung ist vom 20. Mai bis zum 20. Juni 2022 zu sehen.
Für dieses Online-Kunstprojekt hat die französische Delegation im Europäischen Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschuss fünf herausragende junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler ausgewählt, um ihre Arbeiten zu würdigen, mit denen sie die betreffenden Themen bekannt machen und in den öffentlichen Diskurs tragen.
Sie wurden aus den 21 Preisträgern des Preises Planète Art Solidaire ausgewählt, der 2021 von der gemeinnützigen Organisation Art of Change 21 verliehen wurde. Diese ausschließlich virtuelle Ausstellung enthält ein Werk mit einer entsprechenden Erläuterung jedes Künstlers sowie ein kurzes Video, in dem jeder Künstler über sein Werk spricht. (ck)
