The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

Ogni mese vi invitiamo a scoprire il nostro ospite a sorpresa: una personalità nota nel mondo della cultura europea e in sintonia con l'attualità, che ci presenterà la sua visione del mondo, ci porterà una ventata di novità, ci mostrerà nuovi orizzonti, ispirerà la nostra immaginazione e ci renderà felici.
In questa prima edizione, il nostro ospite a sorpresa è Pierre Kroll, caricaturista belga e disegnatore ufficiale dal quotidiano Le Soir.
Noto grazie ai suoi disegni, per il senso dell'umorismo e lo stile inimitabile, che gli permettono di commentare in maniera originale e sorprendente le questioni europee e mondiali.
Alla nostra richiesta di fare il punto sull'attualità più scottante del momento, Kroll ci ha gentilmente offerto questo disegno. (ehp)
