Making the Invisible Visible: Recognising the Hidden Work that Sustains Our Society
Every day, our societies run on invisible work - the essential tasks that often go unnoticed and undervalued. It’s the person who cares for our children and elderly, who cleans our homes and offices, who harvests the fruit and vegetables we eat. This work is vital to our collective wellbeing, yet too often it remains unrecognised, unacknowledged and unfairly compensated.
Invisible work - particularly in cleaning and care - overwhelmingly falls on women and disproportionately on women from migrant backgrounds.
To mark International Women’s Day, join us for a vital conversation on how we can make invisible work visible - and ensure it receives the recognition and respect it deserves.
