On 10 May, the vice-president of the European Parliament Evelyn Regner took part in the European Day of the Liberal Professions 2022, which was hosted by the Liberal Professions Category of the EESC. She spoke during the opening session of the annual conference, which focused on the topic of Liberal Professions: Lessons Learned and Challenges ahead. Various civil society and other institutional representatives participated in the event.

Just before the summer break, Commissioner Mairead McGuinness joined an extraordinary meeting of the Diversity Europe Group of the EESC to debate the role of finance and banking in Europe's recovery.

Alors que débute le mandat 2020-2025 du CESE, Séamus Boland devient le président de son groupe «Diversité Europe». À l’occasion de la première réunion du groupe, qui s’est tenue aujourd’hui, le 27 octobre, les membres l’ont confirmé dans cette nouvelle fonction pour les deux ans et demi à venir. La présidence de M. Boland se concentrera sur le thème «La pauvreté et le rôle des organisations de la société civile dans la lutte contre celle-ci».
