The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions, evaluation and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.
The EESC has six sections, specialising in concrete topics of relevance to the citizens of the European Union, ranging from social to economic affairs, energy, environment, external relations or the internal market.
The 10th meeting of the EU Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (FTA), will take place on 28 May 2026 at the EESC.
Building on the successful joint meeting held in December, this meeting will be organised together with the EU DAGs for Japan and Korea. The aim is to foster synergies, exchange best practices, and discuss cross-cutting issues relevant to all three DAGs.
Members of the three DAGs will exchange with the European Commission's DG TRADE on the state of play of the implementation of the respective TSD Chapters under the FTAs. Further discussions will include TSD in the digital economy, including AI governance and new forms of work, the implementation of ILO Conventions in Singapore, Korea and Japan, as well as the follow up of the Commission's Evaluation of the impact of EU's agreements on key environmental aspects, including the climate
During the meeting, the EU DAG will also exchange views on EU-Singapore relations and recent developments in Singapore, including their priorities, with Ambassador Heng Aik Yeow, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Singapore to the European Union.

Cette audition publique réunira des décideurs politiques et des parties prenantes de la société civile afin de discuter de la manière dont les banques publiques peuvent mieux soutenir la politique industrielle de l’UE, l’innovation, l’expansion des entreprises de l’UE et, en fin de compte, la croissance économique.
The 37th meeting of the EEA Consultative Committee takes place in Vaduz, bringing together EESC and EFTA representatives to discuss key developments within the EEA. The meeting focuses on the future of the EEA Agreement, current policy challenges, and priorities such as jobs, skills and labour mobility.
Cette audition publique aura pour objectif de présenter et de débattre du plan d'action de la Commission européenne contre le cyberharcèlement. Elle réunira les principaux acteurs institutionnels, les organisations de la société civile, les partenaires sociaux et des experts afin d'échanger sur les mesures de prévention et de réponse efficaces. Les discussions contribueront à l'élaboration de l'avis SOC/869 du CESE.
Cette audition publique aura pour objectif de présenter et d’examiner la stratégie de la Commission européenne sur l'équité intergénérationnelle, un nouveau cadre stratégique visant à garantir que les décisions actuelles sont prises en tenant compte de l’avenir, en garantissant un juste équilibre entre les avantages et les charges pour toutes les générations. Cette manifestation réunira des acteurs institutionnels clés, des organisations de la société civile, des partenaires sociaux et des experts afin de réfléchir aux priorités de la stratégie et de contribuer à l’élaboration de l’avis du CESE (SOC/868).

The 15th meeting of the EU DAG under the EU-Viet Nam FTA will take place on 13 May 2026.
During the meeting, the EU DAG will exchange with the European Commission's DG TRADE on the implementation of the TSD chapter, as well as on the outcome and follow-up of the joint meetings held in January. Furthermore, EU DAG members will exchange with a member of the European Parliament.
This hearing will bring together representatives from EU institutions, organised civil society and voices from candidate countries to gather input for the EESC’s opinion on enlargement and climate.
