    European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and Montenegro held its 21st Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) on 16 December 2025, at the EESC in Brussels, Belgium. This platform, established between the EESC and Montenegrin civil society, provides a civil society perspective within the EU institutional framework related to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and Montenegro. The JCC enables civil society organisations from both sides to monitor Montenegro's accession negotiations, discuss common interests, and inform the public about the challenges during the accession period.

    The second meeting of the EU-Albania Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) will took place on  21 November 2025 at the EESC in Brussels, Belgium. This platform, established within the institutional framework of the EU-Albania Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), will enable representatives from both the EU and Albanian civil society to monitor the country's accession negotiations, discuss issues of common interest, and highlight concerns to be addressed on Albanian's path towards the European Union.

    The EU-Serbia Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) held its 19th meeting on 7 April 2025 at the EESC in Brussels. This platform, established within the institutional framework of the EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), will enable representatives from both the EU and Serbian civil society to monitor the country's accession negotiations, discuss issues of common interest, and highlight concerns to be addressed on Serbia's path towards the European Union.

    On 20 March 2025, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and Montenegro convened the 20th Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) in Podgorica. This platform, established between the EESC and Montenegrin civil society, provides a civil society perspective within the EU institutional framework related to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and Montenegro. The JCC enables civil society organisations from both sides to monitor Montenegro's accession negotiations, discuss common interests, and inform the public about the challenges during the accession period.

    The 13th and final meeting of the EU-Chile JCC under the 2002 Association Agreement marked a significant milestone in the EU-Chile partnership. This meeting served as an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and discuss the transition to the new Advanced Framework Agreement, which will reshape and strengthen cooperation between both parties.

    12th meeting of the EU-Chile JCC was held physically in Brussels on 12-13 June 2024. The EESC members and Chilean delegates discussed the transition to a new framework of our bilateral partnership, under the Advanced Framework Agreement, which is expected to enter into force by the end of the year or in early 2025. They also debated the current challenges for democracy in the EU, Chile and across the globe. Among the economic issues, state of play of bilateral trade and technology transfer dominated the discussions. Members also exchanged views on the participation of youth in civil dialogue, and shared good practices of inclusion of young people in the initiatives promoting sustainable development. Prominent on the agenda were also environmental issues, including healthy environment as a human right, climate financing, and the future of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
    The JCC adopted a Joint Declaration.

    The EU-Serbia Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) held its 15th meeting on 21 April 2023 in Brussels, Belgium. It is a platform established within the institutional framework of the EU‑Serbia Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), enabling representatives of both the EU and the Serbian civil society to monitor the country's accession negotiations, discuss issues of common interest and point out concerns to be tackled on the Serbian path towards the European Union.

    Pour la 15e fois, le Comité économique et social européen (CESE) et le Monténégro tiendront le comité consultatif mixte de la société civile (CCM).Le CCM est une plateforme de la société civile établie entre le CESE et la société civile monténégrine. Il complète par un point de vue de la société civile le cadre institutionnel de l’UE lié à l’accord de stabilisation et d’association entre l’UE et le Monténégro. Cet organisme conjoint permet aux organisations de la société civile des deux parties de suivre les négociations d’adhésion. Il s’agit également d’une plateforme permettant de débattre de questions d’intérêt commun et d’informer le grand public sur les défis à venir au cours de la période d’adhésion.

    Ce 15e CCM abordera des questions telles que:

    • État actuel des relations entre l’UE et le Monténégro, y compris le rapport 2022 sur le Monténégro
    • Méthodologie d'élargissement révisée - Groupe 1: Les fondements du processus d'adhésion, avec un accent particulier sur les droits judiciaires et fondamentaux et le fonctionnement des institutions démocratiques
    • Méthodologie d'élargissement révisée - Groupe 1: Les fondamentaux du processus d'adhésion, avec un accent particulier sur la justice, la liberté et la sécurité
    • Aperçu de la situation de la société civile au Monténégro
