L’objectif de cette manifestation est de recueillir des contributions des législateurs, de la société civile et des partenaires sociaux, qui alimenteront l'avis du CESE.

The first and inaugural meeting of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform (CSP) will be held on 1st September 2022 in Yerevan. The CSP complements the political bodies existing within the framework of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, and it allows civil society organisations from both sides to monitor the implementation process and prepare recommendations to the EU-Armenia Partnership Council and other relevant bodies both in Armenia as well as in the EU.
The CSP is made up of members from both Parties, representing the EESC and large European civil society networks, on the one side, and civil society organisations from Armenia, on the other side.
During the meeting, a debate will focus on assessing the state of play of the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the members of the CSP will discuss working methods and future activities of the Platform.

Le prix 2022 a pour but de récompenser les initiatives efficaces, innovantes et créatives ayant pour but de créer un avenir meilleur pour la jeunesse européenne et avec la jeunesse européenne en répondant aux besoins spécifiques des jeunes et en contribuant à leur autonomisation et la participation à toutes les sphères de la vie économique et sociale (catégorie 1) ou aider les victimes civils de la guerre en Ukraine (catégorie 2).
The Section for External Relations of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organised the Conference on relief and reconstruction of Ukraine and its European perspective on 19 July (9:30 to 17:00) in Kraków.
The Conference aimed to discuss activities supporting people fleeing the war, look at the role of civil society and start discussions on how to better support the work of civil society organisations now and in the post-war future. The Conference brought together around 200 participants, including civil society representatives, EU authorities and representatives of the Polish and Ukrainian governments.

Au cours des dernières années, les valeurs fondatrices de l'UE ont été de plus en plus remises en cause, fragilisant plus que jamais le consensus sur lequel elles reposaient. Alors que l'UE a fait face à ces menaces en devenant plus active dans la défense de la démocratie, des droits fondamentaux et de l'état de droit, des discours se sont également multipliés décrivant ces actions comme des batailles politiques basées sur des critères peu clairs ou relatifs.
Les participants à l'audition discuteront de la manière d'aborder ce phénomène et, plus généralement, de comment mieux communiquer sur les droits fondamentaux et l'état de droit envers l'ensemble de la population.
Comme chaque année, le Comité Économique et Social Européen, en tant qu'organe représentant la société civile organisée dans l'UE, suivra le Forum politique de haut niveau (HLPF) sur le développement durable, du mardi 5 juillet au lundi 18 juillet 2022. Le HLPF est la plate-forme centrale des Nations Unies pour le suivi et l'examen de l'Agenda 2030 pour le développement durable et des objectifs de développement durable.
L'objectif de cet événement en ligne - organisé dans le cadre du Forum politique de haut niveau des Nations Unies sur le développement durable (HLPF) - est de faire le point sur les progrès de l'UE vers l'objectif de développement durable (ODD) 15, afin de suggérer une nouvelle série de propositions visant à redynamiser la trajectoire de l'UE grâce à des approches stratégiques et coopératives.

The second All DAG meeting will take place on 12 July 2022 in Brussels, in hybrid format.
Convening shortly after the EC Communication on TSD, which recognised its geopolitical importance and its role in fostering sustainable and inclusive growth, members from all EU DAGs will discuss the present and the future of the DAGs as key actors of TSD implementation, in the presence of Ms. Maria Martin-Prat and Mr. Denis Redonnet, Deputy Director-Generals of DG Trade (EC) and other prominent institutional representatives.
