À un moment où les rivalités géopolitiques ne cessent de s’accentuer et le système commercial multilatéral fondé sur des règles de s’éroder, la compétitivité de l’UE occupe une place centrale dans le programme de l’UE.
Force est de constater que le succès de l’UE ne peut se construire que sur la base d’entreprises prospères. L’UE doit dès lors intensifier ses efforts pour mettre en place un environnement favorable aux activités et à la prospérité des entreprises et, au bout du compte à la création d’emplois, de croissance et de prospérité.
Dans le contexte ainsi tracé, et dans la perspective du prochain cycle institutionnel 2024-2029 de l’UE, la manifestation phare du groupe des employeurs intitulée «Montrer la voie: Un programme en faveur de la compétitivité pour une Europe plus forte» vise à sensibiliser à la nécessité d’un programme global en matière de compétitivité pour l’UE et à stimuler le débat sur cette question en offrant un forum de dialogue entre les entreprises et les décideurs politiques de l’UE.
The 9th EU-Korea Civil Society Forum (CSF) will take place on 4-5 September 2023 in Brussels. The event will start with a workshop discussing cooperation in international fora on environment and climate and the state of play of CSR in the EU and Korea.
During the CSF, the members of the Domestic Advisory Groups (DAGs) will discuss digital economy and its connections to sustainability, circular economy and environmental policy developments, as well as labour relations in the light of the rise of platform work and other non-standard forms of work. They will in particular assess the implementation progress of the 2021 Panel of Experts’ report and recommendations in the presence of a representative from the ILO. In addition to that, the members will discuss a review of the rules of procedure for the CSF.
Joint conclusions, prepared by both sides, will be discussed and adopted.
