On 13-14 March 2025, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will bring together nearly 100 young participants from youth organisations, national youth councils and secondary schools as well as 37 teachers from EU Member States, candidate countries and the UK for its annual Your Europe, Your Say! (YEYS) event. This year, YEYS will focus on the role of young people in collectively shaping a resilient future. It aims to equip them to engage in civic action and continue to contribute to participatory democracy activities in their communities and beyond.

Celui-ci prévoit plusieurs initiatives, dont celles visant à renforcer la compétitivité en faisant progresser les réformes et les investissements, tant privés que publics, la nouvelle union de l’épargne et de l’investissement, ainsi que le prochain cadre financier pluriannuel, pour n’en citer que quelques-unes, qui relèvent de la compétence de la section «Union économique et monétaire, cohésion économique et sociale» (ECO) du Comité économique et social européen (CESE). Nous organisons ce débat afin de discuter avec des représentants de la Commission et les membres du CESE des conditions et des actions nécessaires pour que l’Union européenne et ses États membres mettent en œuvre avec succès les initiatives dont la Commission décrit les grandes lignes dans son document et réalisent les objectifs communs de l’Union.

Services of General interest for affordable and accessible housing

This is why the EESC Permanent Group on Services of General Interest met and discussed in Warsaw on 6 March 2025 at a seminar during the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU, co-organized by the EAPN Poland, the role of quality services of general interest in meeting needs in the field of housing.
The eighth meeting of the EU Domestic Advisory Group was held on 5 March 2025.
During the meeting, the EU DAG received an update from the European Commission's DG TRADE on the implementation of the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement, as well as information on the signature and conclusion of the EU-Singapore Digital Trade Agreement. In addition, DAG members received updates on the EU-Singapore relations from the EU Delegation to Singapore. The main objective of the meeting was to prepare the European side for the upcoming joint meeting with the Singapore DAG.
