Background
The European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) allocates resources from the EU budget to support the common fisheries policy (CFP), the Union’s maritime policy and its international commitments on ocean governance
The objective of this amendment to the EMFAF Regulation is to make the fund simpler, more flexible and easier to implement, in order to complete the transposition into EU law of the WTO Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies.
