Hear Commissioner Neven Mimica at EESC conference on "Promoting the involvement of economic and social actors in development cooperation"

In the light of the EU's new development cooperation programmes and financial instruments, and given the emergence of interesting new initiatives by actors from outside this framework, the EU faces the challenging question of whether its policies need to be updated and what adjustments this might entail.

The NGO Forum has adopted the "Roadmap for the implementation of Articles 11(1) and 11(2) of the Treaty on European Union. Towards better EU civil dialogue and involvement of citizens for better policymaking" which has been drafted by the EESC Liaison Group.
