Key concerns:
Various concerns and challenges faced by healthcare and social services workers were identified during the meeting, including:
- Workforce shortages and staffing issues
- Adequate funding for healthcare and social services
- Ensuring fair wages and working conditions
- Protection of healthcare professionals' rights and safety, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic

Relevance of EU regulations and directives in shaping national policies. Need for active engagement in the electoral process to advocate own rights and expectations.
Developing Strategies for Participation:
Several strategies were discussed to enhance STUHSS members' participation in the EU elections, including:
Conducting awareness campaigns to educate members about the importance of the elections and their impact on healthcare and social services policies.
Collaborating with other trade unions and civil society organizations to amplify advocacy efforts.
Mobilizing members to register to vote and encouraging voter turnout on election day.
Engaging with political parties and candidates to raise awareness of STUHSS priorities.
