Message of solidarity to the Greek workers

The Workers' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee expresses its solidarity with the General Strike called by GSEE and ADEDY on Thursday 1 December 2011.

The situation which the Greek workers are facing is a matter of concern for all the workers in the European Union and, on a broader scale, citizens as a whole.

The European Union must urgently take the appropriate decisions and apply them immediately in order to protect its people from the barbaric attacks of the financial markets.
