Background:
The proposal aims to codify Directive 2003/25/EC, which sets out specific stability requirements for roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) passenger ships. Codification consolidates the original directive and its subsequent amendments into a single, clear legal text without changing the substance of the directive, therefore C category opinion is proposed.
