Battery due diligence policies
Background
Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 aims at contributing to the efficient functioning of the internal market, while preventing and reducing the adverse impacts of batteries on the environment. The legislative proposal, subject of this opinion, aims at amending Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 by postponing of two years the deadline set in article 48 for the fulfilment of due diligence obligations by economic operators.
