Strategic Foresight and EU Decision-Making - Economic Aspects

Strategic foresight is increasingly being embedded into EU policy making. Strategic foresight involves exploring different possible future scenarios and considering the opportunities and challenges connected to them. It aims at contributing to policy action in the present that shapes the future in a way we would like.

The conference will focus on the economic aspects of strategic foresight, and how strategic foresight influences considerations and policy making in public authorities in the EU in this area. It will look at the methods of foresight employed, in particular in the economic field. Furthermore, speakers will discuss how economic and social actors use foresight in their organisations, and in which way this shapes their actions and involvement in the policy making process.

The conference will be webstreamed (original, EN, FR, IT). No registration is needed, and participation is free of charge.
