22nd meeting of the EU-Montenegro JCC

The 22nd meeting of the EU–Montenegro Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) took place in Podgorica. The meeting brought together representatives of organised civil society from the European Union and Montenegro to exchange views on recent developments in EU–Montenegro relations and on key priorities in the EU accession process.

The discussions focused on:

• the state of play of EU–Montenegro relations, including the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans;
• social policy and employment (Chapter 19), including social dialogue and the protection of vulnerable groups;
• the coordination of structural instruments and preparations for the next Multiannual Financial Framework;
• the situation of civil society in Montenegro.

A joint declaration was adopted following the meeting.
