13th meeting of the EU-Japan Domestic Advisory Group under the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

The 13th meeting of the EU Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), and the first meeting of the 2025–2028 term, will take place on 16 December 2025 at the EESC.

To foster TSD synergies and strengthen cooperation, this meeting will be organised together with the EU DAGs for Korea and Singapore. The idea is to bring the groups closer together, exchange best practices, and learn from each other's experiences. The members will also exchange with the European Commission's DG TRADE and the EU Delegations in Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore on the regional outlook and expectations regarding future cooperation with the DAGs.

During the meeting, the EU DAG will elect its presidency for the 2025–2028 term, discuss the priorities for the work of the DAG and look at the implementation of the Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) Chapter of the EPA, as well as discuss the preparations for the upcoming joint meetings with its Japanese counterparts, to be held in Tokyo on 4 March 2026.
