Workers’ Voice: Understanding the power of AI over decisions: Fostering a better understanding of AI’s implications for employment
Algorithmic management (AM), driven by artificial intelligence and automated decision-making, is transforming the world of work. While promising increased efficiency, these technologies also pose significant challenges, including enhanced surveillance, reduced worker autonomy, and the risk of biased decision-making. For trade unions, regulating AI is a pressing concern due to its rapid evolution and the limited experience as regards its use. To address these issues, the EESC Workers' Group is organizing a conference jointly with the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) to explore the impact of AI on workers' rights, privacy, and dignity in the workplace.
The conference takes place on 5 November 2025 from 09:30 - 17:30 at the Jacques Delors building (JDE 62, EESC, Rue Belliard 99/101, 1040 Brussels).

A key highlight of the conference will be the opening of the Workers' Group-FEPS cultural event, on 5 November - 13.00-14.30 - Foyer 6:
