Objective(s)
Increasing clients' trust in the quality of the products/services; Improving sector's image; Raising industry standards; Using it as a marketing tool; Enhancing the level of information. The EUROFEL quality scheme aims to provide customers with the same health and safety information regardless of the suppliers. It also aims at providing customers with comparable measured products specifications regardless of the suppliers. This is done through regular round robin interlaboratory exercises. Lastly, the members have agreed with an harmonised nomenclature of the products.

    Description

    Problems that lead to the introduction of Self/Co-Regulation and the adoption of the Founding Act
    Conflict between national laws and EU law regarding labelling. When applying EU laws, we have been asked to also apply national law which was compatible. This leads to distort the harmonisation foreseen.
