Fundamental Rights and the Rule of Law – National developments from a civil society perspective – 2023-2024

This report provides an overview of the visits organised by the EESC Fundamental Rights and Rule of Law (FRRL) group in 2023-2024.

It deals with seven country visits: to Greece, Finland, Slovakia, Portugal, Sweden, Slovenia. 

The report follows three previous synthesis reports:

• the first synthesis report, issued by the FRRL group in June 2020, covered the first seven visits, which took place in the first two years of the Group's existence (2018-2019), to Romania, Poland, Hungary, Austria, France, Bulgaria and Italy
• the second synthesis report, issued in September 2022, covered six visits, which took place in 2020-2021, to Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Czech Republic, Spain, Cyprus and Lithuania
• the third synthesis report, issued in November 2023, covered six visits, which took place in 2022 to Greece, Finland, Slovakia, Portugal, Sweden, and Slovenia.
