Revision of the Standardisation regulation

EESC opinion on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on European standardisation, repealing Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council, COM(2026) 780 final.

Background

The revision of the Standardisation Regulation aims to address the shortcomings identified in the evaluation of this Regulation and aims to speed up the development of systemic standards for the EU's resilience and twin transition.
