At its plenary session on 18 February, the EESC held a debate on Russia’s war against Ukraine and its devastating toll on children and youth with guest speakers from the European Commission, the GLOBSEC Kyiv Office, UNICEF, UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, Save the Children, the centre of civil education ‘Almenda’, the Regional Centre for Human Rights, and Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine.  Read the key messages of the members of the EESC Civil Society Organisations’ Group.
